T. REX ON TOP

On 7/14, a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton named “Gus” sold for a record $50.13 million (pre-auction estimates were between $20 and $30 million) to an anonymous buyer. The previous record for a fossil auction came via “Apex” the Stegosaurus, purchased by Citadel founder Ken Griffin for $44.6 million in 2024.
