22 August 2019 Meeting:

Dave Lindburg was the COD. He introduced Dan Pecaut who explained and led us through a form of meditation he practices. He invited all of us to seek quiet and therefore peace. He emphasized that he was presenting a form of meditation he found helpful

Mike reminded us about our volunteer commitments at Art Splash. He handed out T-shirts.

Jay showed us a sticker that can be put on our car windows that would alert police and emergency workers that the occupant is diabetic. They would be prepared if the occupant was having a seizure or other problems associated with the condition of the driver.

 

29 August 2019 Meeting:

Dave Marx was the COD. He presented information about his car collection with special emphasis on his Volkswagon beetles. He sold one of them to Jerry Seinfeld.

Mike reminded us about our volunteer commitments at Art Splash.

Mat told us about the Homeless to Home fundraiser put on by the Center for Siouxland at the Sioux City Country Club on 11 November 2019 from 6-10 pm. The funds are used to fight homelessness.

Pat told us that he had contact with the Winnebago Nation about screening. They have their own screening program during the pow-wow, but asked Pat to inquire if the 4-Season Center may host an event with the Mobile Diabetes Unit.

Mat received a check from Awesome Biker Nights in the amount of $700 from the proceeds of the 50/50 raffle.

The slate of proposed officers for our club was posted for a second time.
